ഉത്തരാഖണ്ഡ് ഹിമപാതത്തെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് മൂന്നുദിവസമായി തുടരുന്ന രക്ഷാദൗത്യം പൂര്‍ണം. മഞ്ഞിനടിയില്‍ കുടുങ്ങിയ 54 പേരില്‍ 46 പേരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു. ഇന്ന് നാല് മൃതദേഹങ്ങള്‍ കൂടി പുറത്തെടുത്തു. ഇതോടെ മരിച്ചവരുടെ എണ്ണം എട്ടായി.

സമയത്തോടും കാലാവസ്ഥയോടും മല്ലടിച്ചായിരുന്നു രക്ഷാദൗത്യം. കര, വ്യോമ, ദുരന്ത നിവാരണ സേനകളും ഐ.ടി.ബി.പിയും തിരച്ചില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തു. ഇന്ന് ഉച്ചയോടെ മഞ്ഞിനടിയിലെ വസ്തുക്കള്‍ കണ്ടെത്താനുള്ള അത്യാധുനിക ഉപകരണങ്ങളും തെര്‍മല്‍ സ്കാനറുകളും എത്തിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഏഴ് ഹെലികോപ്റ്ററുകളും രക്ഷാപ്രവര്‍ത്തനത്തിനായി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.‌

ഗുരുതരമായി പരുക്കേറ്റവരെ ജോഷിമഠിലെ സൈനിക ആശുപത്രിയിലും ഋഷികേശ് എയിംസിലും പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ്. ഇതില്‍ ചിലരുടെ നില ഗുരുതരമാണ്. ബോഡര്‍ റോഡ് ഓര്‍ഗനൈസേഷനുവേണ്ടി നിര്‍മാണപ്രവര്‍ത്തനത്തില്‍ ഏര്‍പ്പെട്ട തൊഴിലാളികളാണ് വെള്ളിയാഴ്ചയുണ്ടായ ഹിമപാതത്തില്‍ പെട്ടത്.
