Vellapally Nadeshan criticized both the CPI(M) and Congress for neglecting the Ezhava community, stating that community concerns only arise when their positions are threatened. He accused the Congress of sidelining Ezhavas and expressed his concerns in a speech at the SNDP Yogam’s mouthpiece, Yoganadam. Nadeshan also criticized the LDF government, claiming that some individuals in the Chief Minister's office are undermining the positive actions of the government. He further asserted that there is no leadership within the CPI(M) beyond Pinarayi Vijayan, who, according to him, will return to power for a third term.
