വയനാട്ടില്‍ ഓറഞ്ച് അലര്‍ട്ട് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. അടുത്ത മൂന്നു മണിക്കൂറാണ് ജാഗ്രതാനിര്‍ദേശം. ആറുമണിവരെ വ്യാപകമായ മഴ തുടരും.  അതിശക്തമായ മഴക്കും സാധ്യതയുണ്ടെന്ന്  കാലാവസ്ഥാ വകുപ്പ് അറിയിച്ചു. പത്തനംതിട്ട, ഇടുക്കി, കോഴിക്കോട് കോട്ടയം തൃശൂര്‍ ജില്ലകളിലും പരക്കെ മഴകിട്ടും. ഒറ്റപ്പെട്ട ശക്തമായ മഴക്കും സാധ്യതയുണ്ട്. ഇന്ന് രാത്രിവരെ കേരള തീരത്ത് കടലേറ്റത്തിനും ഒരുമീറ്റര്‍ വരെ ഉയരമുള്ള തിരമാലകള്‍ക്കും സാധ്യത. ജാഗ്രത പാലിക്കണമെന്ന് ദേശീയ സമുദ്ര ഗവേഷണ കേന്ദ്രം മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നല്‍കി.

An orange alert has been issued for Wayanad due to the possibility of heavy rainfall over the next three hours. Widespread rain is expected until 6 PM, with the possibility of intense showers. Several districts, including Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Kozhikode, Kottayam, and Thrissur, will experience rain. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has also issued a warning for a potential storm surge and waves reaching up to one meter along the Kerala coast tonight.
