അതേസമയം, വഖഫ് നിയമഭേദ​ഗതിയെ തുടർന്ന് ബം​ഗാളിൽ പ്രതിഷേധത്തുടർന്നുണ്ടായ സംഘർഷത്തിന് പിന്നാലെ ‌അക്രമവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് 12 പേരെ കൂടി അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തു. ഇതോടെ ആകെ എണ്ണം 150 ആയി. മുസ്ലീം സമുദായത്തോടുള്ള വിവേചനപരമാണെന്നും അവരുടെ മൗലികാവകാശങ്ങൾ ലംഘിക്കുന്നതാണെന്നും വാദിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഈ നിയമത്തെ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്ത് നിരവധി ഹർജികൾ സുപ്രീം കോടതിയിൽ ലഭിച്ചു.
