The Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA) has been given a clean chit in the incident where MLA Uma Thomas fell from the stage in Kochi’s Kaloor. The investigation found that the fault lay with Mridanga Vision, the company responsible for setting up the stage. GCDA will not be named as an accused, and police have also been cleared of any lapses. The charge sheet will be filed soon, naming three accused, including the CEO of Mridanga Vision, for constructing the stage without adequate safety measures.
