ശ്രീരാമന്‍റെ വിഗ്രഹം മാറ്റണമെന്നും ബൈദ്യനാഥ് മജുംദാറിന്‍റെ  പ്രതിമ പുനസ്ഥാപിക്കണമെന്നും സിപിഎം സംസ്ഥാന സെക്രട്ടറി ജിതേന്ദ്ര ചൗദരി പറഞ്ഞു. ഏപ്രിൽ 11ന് രാത്രി ഉനകോടി ജില്ലയിലെ കൈലാഷഹർ പട്ടണത്തിലെ ശ്രീരാംപൂർ ട്രൈ ജംഗ്ഷനിൽ അജ്ഞാതരായ ആളുകൾ ശ്രീരാമന്‍റെ വിഗ്രഹം സ്ഥാപിച്ചതായി ജിതേന്ദ്ര ചൗധരി പറഞ്ഞു. ഒരു കമ്മ്യൂണിസ്റ്റ് നേതാവിന്‍റെ പ്രതിമ സ്ഥാപിച്ചിരുന്ന പീഠത്തിൽ ശ്രീരാമന്‍റെ വിഗ്രഹം സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്നത് ത്രിപുരയുടെ സംസ്കാരത്തിനും പാരമ്പര്യത്തിനും എതിരാണെന്ന് ചൗധരി പറഞ്ഞു.
