വാളയാറിൽ രാസലഹരിയുമായി അമ്മയും മകനും അമ്മയുടെ രണ്ടു സുഹൃത്തുക്കളും പിടിയിൽ. തൃശ്ശൂർ സ്വദേശി അശ്വതി, മകൻ ഷോൺ സണ്ണി, അശ്വതിയുടെ സുഹൃത്തുക്കളായ കോഴിക്കോട് ഏലത്തൂർ സ്വദേശികളായ പി മൃദുൽ, അശ്വിൻ ലാൽ എന്നിവരാണ് പിടിയിലായത്. വിൽപ്പനയ്ക്കായി കാറിൽ കൊണ്ടുവരികയായിരുന്ന 10.12 ഗ്രം എംഡിഎംഎയും ഇവരിൽ നിന്നും പിടികൂടി.
ബംഗളൂരുവിൽ നിന്നാണ് സംഘം എത്തിയത്. വാളയാർ ചെക്പോസ്റ്റിലെത്തിയപ്പോൾ സംശയം തോന്നിയ എക്സൈസ് സംഘം വാഹനം പരിശോധിച്ചപ്പോഴാണ് എംഡിഎംഎ കണ്ടെടുത്തത്. കാറിൽ നിന്നും മയക്കുഗുളികകളും കണ്ടെടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.
